Every week, I pull a few tarot cards to offer guidance on the path to your soul purpose. The cards in these posts offer quick and general guidance for the week. For a detailed reading with personal guidance on the path to your soul purpose, you can purchase a tarot reading on the site. Thank you for reading, and I hope this helps guide your path. Much love and blessings!
The 5 of Pentacles reversed shows that you have been suffering lately by punishing yourself. Maybe you’re not as productive right now as you feel you should be, so you give yourself guilt trips. That just makes things worse. Don’t punish yourself!
The 4 of Wands reversed says to celebrate yourself instead! That’s much better! You just need some time to rest right now, and that’s OK. Welcome yourself warmly and happily into your inner sanctuary. See and feel the joy of the 4 of Wands card as you welcome your weary spirit back home. Take a much needed break, and celebrate everything that you’ve accomplished so far.
The Hermit on the end there tells us it’s time to release the soul searching for now as he illuminates the 4 of Wands card of celebration with his lamp.
Women experience monthly cycles, and I’m in a “less productive” part of my cycle right now. I use quotes there because I am productive during this time – just not outwardly productive (you know, what our society deems productive.) During menstruation, I look inward to gain much-needed insight that helps me grow and know what to do once the more outwardly productive phase of my cycle comes around.
Well, I completed my Hermit phase of looking inward and gaining insight yesterday, and today I started the day by punishing myself for not going for a run this morning. After this reading, I realized that it’s OK to take a break right now. I should celebrate myself and not punish myself. Punishing yourself doesn’t accomplish anything and only hurts you.
For more information on working with the seasons of your menstrual cycle, check out the book Wild Power by the Founders of the amazing Red School Alexandra Pope and Sjanie Hugo Wurlitzer. Basically, we can work with our cycles powerfully when we see menstruation as introspective winter, pre-ovulation as the stirring of spring, ovulation as productive summer and pre-menstruation as the slowing down of fall. (The book and website are helpful for menopausal women, as well.)
Overall, stop putting so much pressure on yourself, and celebrate your awesomeness!
You’re amazing!
Love and blessings! 💖
