The Emperor reversed appears to tell us that it is time to get organized within ourselves. We need self-discipline this week. Know what it is that you must do and rule yourself.
This self-discipline is needed to carry out your duties this week, as the Knight of Pentacles rides into our reading. These are not glamorous tasks, but ones that must be done. See how staunchly our Knight sits his horse and honors his earthly duties – represented here by the pentacle he holds before him with honor. This Knight is committed to his tasks – to what must get done.
Finally, we see in the 9 of Wands that while these tasks may not be pleasant, they must be endured. Sometimes, we can feel like the man in the final card who stands his ground despite battle-weariness.
This is a week of self-discipline, duty and toughing it out. There are things that we must get done this week on the path to our soul purpose. The key to accomplishing these tasks is honoring your inner Emperor. Remind yourself of your sense of duty this week. Organize your thoughts and make plans in order to accomplish your outer goals.
