The Emperor reversed reminds us that we can still maintain inner boundaries to protect ourselves while outer boundaries crash down around us in The Tower card.
Sometimes, you have to let things crash down in order to let the light in, and this is the message that we get from The Tower today. Go with these changes rather than against them.
The 8 of Swords reversed tells you to release the inner fears that keep you trapped. The Tower is setting you free; you can struggle against this change out of fear or you can embrace the changes and free yourself from your limiting fears.
The woman in the 8 of Swords card certainly didn’t bind herself, just as past events in your life may have bound you, but she certainly chooses to keep herself trapped now because that’s what makes her feel safe. This is normal, because her blindfold prevents her from seeing what’s ahead. However, if she wants to make progress in her life, she’ll need to remove the blindfold and move forward.
You can do this, too. Distinguish between the healthy internal Emperor boundaries that protect you and the limiting fears that imprison you with a false sense of security.
